Module 2 - The Regulations Process & 44807 Overview

This module explains the regulations process at Agri Spray Drones, focusing on the 44807 exemption. The process begins after drone purchase with the customer inquiry form submission to the Regulations Department, followed by an initial consultation.

Drone registration is the first step, requiring an N number before filing the 44807 exemption (a blanket Class G COA with conditions and limitations) on the federal docket. Once this exemption is approved, you proceed to the 137 application, and after approval, you receive the necessary manuals. The 44807 exemption paperwork contains crucial conditions and limitations that operators must strictly follow to avoid violating federal law and voiding the exemption. Prerequisites include having a Remote Pilot Certificate (Part 107) and an N number.

Regarding medical requirements, the new exemptions with 47 terms and conditions allow daytime autonomous flight without a medical certificate unless you know you have disqualifying conditions. However, those with a third-class medical can fly at night without a visual observer and take full advantage of all conditions. All documentation is managed through the your client portal.
