General Warranty Timeline
Drone Crashed
Step 1: Warranty Period Determination.
All DJI drones have a manufacturers warranty period of 12 months for crash related issues. If your drone crashes it does not automatically mean the issue is warrantable.
Step 2: Collecting the required materials for warranty.
1. Ensure the area is safe and any immediate emergencies with the crash site are handled.
2. Power off your drone if it is still on, this will save your flight log data for uploading.
3. Take photos of the drone in its crashed state and a video of the area around the crash site (this can be useful if your warranty is rejected)
4. Take a photo of the drone SN on the right side frame of the drone.
5. Move your drone to a more suitable area.
6. Flight log uploading. For all crashes, flight logs must be uploaded to DJI for review. Please click HERE to view our Knowledge Hub guide to ensure successful uploading of flight logs.
Step 3: Fill out Repair Request on the DJI SmartFarm.
On the app select your dealer (if your dealer is not on the list then select Agri Spray Drones).
Step 4: Contact your local dealer.
Your local dealer will be able to assist you with repairs, parts, and/or technical support. Your dealer will ensure you have captured all required material and filled out SmartFarm prior to them contacting ASD for warranty submission in DJI system. We highly encourage customers to connect with their local dealer prior to ASD to ensure the fastest response and repair service possible to get you back in the air flying.
Step5: Repairs and Servicing Requirements
EXTREMELY IMPORTANT!
- All damaged or removed parts associated with the crash must be kept. Customer that does repairs needs to send parts to their dealer or directly to ASD (Agri Spray Drones - Warranty 13620 Old Hwy 40 Boonville MO, 65233)
- Take images of the new component serial numbers during repairs. Many components are tracked in DJI system via serial numbers and must be swapped and documented in order to complete the warranty process. Things that have serial numbers;
-- Electronic components: motor, esc, boards, centrifugal motors, pumps, solenoids, RTK antennas, batteries
-- Structural components: aircraft arms, frame rails
Error/Issue With Drone
Step 1: Warranty Period Determination.
All DJI drones have a manufacturers warranty period of 12 months but it depends on the component at fault. Please refer to the General Warranty Timeline above to see the timeframe for warranty of each component type on the drone
Step 2: Collecting the required materials for warranty.
1. You must take a photo of the error on the screen of the remote controller.
2. Take a short video showing the error on the screen, the serial number on the drone, and the component at fault on the drone. Failure to capture a video usually results in warranty being denied by DJI.
Step 3: Fill out Repair Request on the DJI SmartFarm.
On the app select your dealer (if your dealer is not on the list then select Agri Spray Drones).
Step 4: Contact your local dealer.

Battery Issues
Step 1: Warranty Period Determination.
All DJI flight batteries have a warranty period of 12 months, however, they also have a cycle count limit.
T50/T25: 1,500 charges
T40/T20P: 1,200 charges
If your unsure of the age of your battery, please take a photo of your serial number on the side of your battery (small white qr code) and provide it to your local dealer. The battery activation date can be looked up in DJI system.
Step 2: Collecting the required materials for warranty.
1. You must make a video comparing your bad battery vs a good battery to show that the charging station or drone is not the issue. Please click HERE for our Knowledge Hub guide on how to make your video. Failure to make the required video and clearly show the battery serial number on both the good and bad battery will result in DJI denying your claim.
2. Take a image of the bad battery serial number.
Step 3: Contact your local dealer.
Your local dealer will be able to assist you with repairs, parts, and/or technical support. Your dealer will ensure you have captured all required material prior to them contacting ASD for warranty submission in DJI system. We highly encourage customers to connect with their local dealer prior to ASD to ensure the fastest response and repair service possible to get you back in the air flying.
Step 4: Disposal of approved battery warranty
If your battery warranty is approved you must do one of the following to finish your claim within 15 days of receiving approval notification;
- Local Disposal
Find a local lipo recycling location. If you have a local provider that will take the battery you MUST get a receipt for the battery drop off and take a picture of the receipt with the battery serial number at the location of disposal as proof of disposal for DJI.
-Salt Water Soak
This method requires you to do the following; Step 1: Create a video of you mixing a 10% salt water brine solution in a tank big enough to fully submerse the battery. Step 2: In the same video or in an additional video, show the serial number on the battery and then place the battery in the water and film the battery in the water for a full 60 seconds. Step 3: After 72 hours, take a picture of the battery in the water. Provide this information to your dealer assisting you with your warranty claim. Please note: do this process outside and away from any building as the battery can let off gasses and get extremely hot and can pose a possible fire hazard. We highly recommend people to find a local disposal center over this method as its safer and much easier.
Charger Issues
Step 1: Warranty Period Determination.
All DJI flight batteries have a warranty period of 12 months.
If your unsure of the age of your charging station, please take a photo of your serial number (small white qr code) and provide it to your local dealer. The charging station activation date can be looked up in DJI system.
Step 2: Collecting the required materials for warranty.
1. You must make a video demonstrating the issue is clearly with the charging station and not a battery or the power supplying the chagrining station (ie. generator, outlet).
2. Video example: you can make, for C8,000 stations you can take a video showing the serial number on the station, then unplug a power supply in the back and show the station shuts off or stays on. Then plug that power supply back in and unplug the other power supply. Show the station stays on or turns off. This clearly shows the issue is a power supply with the charging station. Click HERE for guide on troubleshooting C8,000 and a demonstration of what to do in the video.
3. Take a image of the charging station serial number.
Step 3: Contact your local dealer.
Your local dealer will be able to assist you with repairs, parts, and/or technical support.
